Position Overview:

The Industry Manager Food Ingredients is responsible for leadership and direction to the field sales organization relative to the industry. Activities include giving the business unit appropriate direction with regard to industry trends, planning and executing growth strategies, managing and expanding product lines and vendor relationships, owns the pipeline for the industry and works with the product management team to drive share with suppliers. The Industry Manager will also own key accounts related the Industry and will train sales in key areas of the industry to help develop business.

Key Deliverables:

Develops necessary tools and initiates activities for the field organization (e.g. sales literature, trade show, training seminars, etc.)
Maintains effective relationships with assigned supplier and acts as a liaison for vendor/field relations.
Keeps abreast of product trends and industry developments and always pursues new products/vendors to assume the most effective product/vendor mix.
Gathers and disseminates industry information to the field.
Initiates and manages national incentive programs with key vendors and, in cooperation with Univar Solutions North American managers, is responsible for their implementation in the field.
Monitors and analyzes product sales and profitability, compares, and assures compliance with established goals.
Generates industry reports makes recommendations for corrective action, and actively assists in their implementation.
Maintains close communications with NA Head of Marketing, as well as Regional Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers
Participates regularly in sales meeting and makes joint calls with field sellers to be intimately familiar with prevailing market conditions and customer issues. Manage and deliver on sales targets and growth and closure of opportunity pipelines
As required, prepares vendor/customer and in-house presentations.
Assist in the development of industry advertising in conjunction with the Head of NA Marketing.
Conducts market research projects to assist region in development of industry plans.
Facilitates the development and active use of industry specialist teams.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:

BS/BA in a business-related degree or a degree in a related technical field associated with the industry key markets.
Food Ingredients industry experience and distribution knowledge a plus.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with all levels of people in the organization.
Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills.
PC literate in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High level of organization and follow through.
Able to manage multiple projects with high levels of detail simultaneously.
Outstanding communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
